Hello fellow bookworms 📖 My name is Caro and it’s time to announce my new book blog on WordPress!!! 🎉 🎉 🎉 I’m very excited to have moved to this platform, because until recently I had my book blog on Tumblr. However, now I finally decided to move and start over a bit, because WordPress finally enables me to interact more with the bookish community!
If you want to know who I am and what you’re getting yourself into check out my About the Blogger Page! I’m also always happy to answer further questions. Apart from here I’m on more social media sites which can also be found in my sidebar!
Why I decided to move 📖
I started out blogging on Tumblr, because it was the only platform that I was familiar with and knew how to use. In the past I had despaired trying to wrangle Blogspot, so I decided that Tumblr was the safe bet. However, the more I got into the bookish community the more I discovered that I had placed my bet onto the wrong platform. The downside of Tumblr pretty much is that no one can comment on your posts and that it in general is not very accessible for other people, especially if they don’t have an account. Since I already had blogged so much there, I was hesitant to move to another platform and lose als my content, especially as I didn’t think I could create a decent blog. Luckily, I decided to give WordPress a try and managed to quickly get accustomed to it. That was the start of my moving plans.
What happened to my old blog Posts 📖
As you can see I kept a few of my old blog Posts, as I put a lot of effort into them and didn’t want to leave them behind – I’m sentimental like that. E.g. I’ve collected my favorite Top Ten Tuesday & Top 5 Wednesday Posts in two Blog Posts. However, I’ve also decided to cut a lot of other Posts that I was no longer happy with and that I didn’t want to keep on my new blog. If you’re interested you can browse the Posts I decided to keep! You can easily find them under the menu point “Navigation”. I’ve also moved all my old Reviews to Goodreads because they would have overflowed my blog. Future Reviews will be posted on the blog as well as on Goodreads.
What’s new on this blog 📖
I’ve given my blog a completely new design and am quite satisfied with how the graphics turned out! My main theme is Alice in Wonderland, especially the Cheshire Cat as I love the classic as well as the movies very much. When it comes to my blogging content I’ve decided to no longer link up with Top Ten Tuesday, because I noticed that I rarely do their topics anymore. Instead I’ve decided to link up with The Sunday Post by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer every two weeks. This Feature focuses on what happened in your bookish as well as non-bookish life – it’s chance to share news and talk about whatever is on your mind. I personally like these kinds of recaps!
Do you have a book blog/bookish Twitter as well? If yes, leave a link to them in the comments, so I can check them out and follow you! 📖
