Fall Time, Cozy Time Tag

fall time cozy time tag

Hello fellow bookworms 🍂 because I love fall so so so much I decided to do a fall inspired book Tag! This one is the “Fall Time, Cozy Time” Book Tag and was created by Booktuber Sam’s Nonsense! I wasn’t tagged to do this Tag, however I really wanted to do it and since we’re halfway through October now seemed like the appropriate time! 🙂

Crunching Leaves 🍂
The world is full of color 🍂 choose a book that had reds/oranges/yellows on the cover

🍂 Thirteen Secrets (Michelle Harrison) – German Hardcover

As you can see in my first graphic this cover basically screams fall to me, because it has so many different shades of orange and red. I just love this cover, it really does look like it’s advertising fall ♥ Actually this book series was on my Books to read in fall Post as well, as it does give me the warm fall feelings! I’ve got a few more books that have some fall colors, but this is by far the best one, it even does have some little leaves in her hair which is very fitting 🙂

Cozy Sweater 👘
It’s finally coll enough to do warm cozy clothing 👘 what book gives you the warm fuzzies?

👘 Blutbraut (Lynn Raven)

I thought of many different books for this answer but this one just fit the best. It’s a German Fantasy novel in THE favorite book of all time, which is why it gives me all the warm, fuzzy feelings. I love this book so much and my spirits are always lifted whenever I open it and read a page. Doesn’t matter which page or which chapter I’m instantly in a better mood and enjoy whichever passage of the book I decide to read. Therefore, this book is just full of warm feelings for me and makes me all fuzzy inside. I wish it would get translated to that more people could read it, because this book is the best of all books that I’ve ever read ♥

Fall Storm💨
The wind is howling & the rain is pounding 💨 choose a book that you like to read on a stormy day

💨 The Raven Boys (Maggie Stiefvater)

I included this very book in my Books to read in fall Post and I’m going to pull it out again, because it’s fitting. The eerie, slightly creepy atmosphere is perfect for a rainy, stormy fall day when you can snuggle up with your book under a ton of blankets and sip a cup of hot tea. The atmosphere in your book and outside will align and honestly the storyline should hook you right in. There’s nothing much to do on a stormy day than read anyway so why not finish the book in one day and start with the rest of the series?

Cool Crisp Air☁️
makes you breath freely ☁️ What’s the coolest character you’d want to trade places with?

☁️ Miranda (Born at Midnight)

I had a really hard time choosing a character for this category, because there are so many cool characters, that I just wouldn’t want to trade places with because the things they have to go through are so horrific. Therefore, I settled on Miranda, a witch and supporting character of the Shadow Falls Series. Basically she’s not only a witch, which is super cool but is also really quirky and positive. She also gets to live in a camp for supernatural creatures and lives together with her two best friends in a cabin, which sounds pretty amazing. I really have to continue with the series, because it’s one of my favorites!

Hot Apple Cider 🍎
warm autumn drink 🍎What underhyped book do you want to see become the next biggest, hottest thing?

🍎 The Spinster Club Series (Holly Bourne)

Those books are just fantastic and do not get enough recognition! They are about feminism, which is really great since this is a main topic and I personally learned so much more about it. I was a feminist prior to the series, but after reading it I was even more convinced and especially book 3 deals almost exclusively with sexism and a character that does a campaign against it while calling out sexist behavior for 4 weeks. However, book 1 does deal with mental illness and book 2 deals with family issues as well, so there are many more interesting, serious topics to be found. There’s also LOTS of amazing female friendship which is why I’m rooting for the Spinster Club Series so much, everyone go read it!

Coat, Scarves, and Mittens ☂️
The weather has turned cold & it’s time to cover up  ☂️ What’s the most embarrassing book cover that you like to keep hidden in public?

☂️Kane Chronicles UK Covers

I sadly don’t own the US editions of most of Riordan’s books (with the exception of my Percy Jackson Box Set), because the UK one are … not that great. The Kane Chronicles are personally those that I find the worst, the Magnus Chase one’s are okay, but just look at the Red Pyramid! It looks like it was made by an amateur that just threw some pictures together. Not to mention the weird glow around the boy and how violently red it is, the US Version is much better. This is really the only book that I own that has a cover I find horrendous and not really one to show off in public. The cover is not really that embarrassing but also not that impressive.

Pumpkin Spice 🎃
time for some starbucks 🎃 What’s your favorite Fall time comforts food/foods?

🎃 Pumpkin Spice Latte 🎃 Hot Chocolate with Marshmallow 🎃 Tea 🎃 Waffles

Don’t get me started about all the yummy food. I’m getting hungry talking about it, because for me fall is all about comfort food, especially hot drinks because let’s be honest drinking hot drinks in summer is literally hell. I love Tea, especially in fall time, when it’s cold outside and honestly the best pick me up is a good, hot cup of your favorite tea. Mine personally is peppermint tea, but I also love a seasonal tea called “evening at the fireplace” and lots of other tea! Hot chocolate with cute tiny marshmallows is also making you feel really cozy inside! It should also come to no surprise that the famous Pumpkin Spice Latte is THE fall drink! I’ve had two so far at Starbucks and they were delicious! As for eating, I especially love waffles and will be making some very soon!

  1. Thanks for tagging me Caro! I thought maybe I had done this tag last week but turns out it’s totally different and seems perfect for November! ♥️ I love tags so I look forward to doing this one!

Do you read German! Are you German and I missed that?! I lived in Germany as a youth for 4ish years 😉 Your best fantasy of all time looks good… but alas I do not read German 😭 actually many of the associated German books ALL had beautiful covers that were so intriguing (on goodreads!) Are you on goodreads Caro?

    1. You’re welcome 🙂 I’m also a fellow Tag lover 😀

Yes I’m German and I do my best to read German authors as well, as I usually read English books in their original language aka not the German translation 🙂 Ooooh that’s so cool!!! 🙂 Might I ask why you lived there for 4 years? 🙂

Yes this is the eternal struggle for me, loving the book but not being able to get everyone to read it 😭

Yes I am 😀 Are you as well? 🙂
