My Unread Series 📚 feat. Series Crackdown TBR

SC TBR Unread Series

Hello fellow bookworms 📚 It’s time for the Series Crackdown again! If you don’t know, the Series Crackdown Readathon is hosted and created by the lovely Mel @ thebookmoo. The Readathon is 10 days long and all about getting to that unfinished Series that have been sitting on your shelf for ages! The current round (round 7!!) is running from May 24th to June 3rd 💌 Like the last time there are going to be some fun sprints hosted at the Readathon Twitter as well as some Instagram challenges. I personally love that all the Sprints are hosted at 8pm GMT (9pm where I live), because I’m an evening reader, so I will hopefully be joining sometimes 🙂 There are even some amazing reading challenges this time with a cool bingo board! 😍

In honor of the Series Crackdown – which is all about tackling those unread Series – I will also be talking about all of my Unread Series after sharing my TBR with you, so stay tuned!

What I’ll be reading 💖

Vigilatte Cafe

Unlike last time I will be aiming to read 2 books in 10 days, because I have classes and my internship, so I will primarily be reading in the evenings and on the weekend. As one of the books is 500+ pages, I don’t think I’ll get to a third book, but that’s okay. Wayfarer and Fireblood have both been on multiple TBR’s and I still have not gotten to them, which is something I want to change for real this time. Waiting for the ‘right time’ to read this book has gotten me nowhere and as I liked the first book in both Series, I don’t want to put off reading them anymore. There’s always the fear that I won’t like them as much, but I genuinely want to read both book and own copies! 🌷

So I won’t fulfill as many challenges, but who knows maybe I’ll be able to squeeze in a third book 😉

All my Unread Series 😱

As I already talked about what I’ll be reading for the Series Crackdown, I also wanted to share all my unread Series aka the Series I started but have not yet finished! Not to put shame on me 😂 but to examine what I still must catch up on and moreover why I still haven’t gotten to them, which is why I have sorted the books into several categories! This list does not include ongoing Series that I have caught up on.

Recent Releases

➡ There are a couple of books that got released in the last few months and as I sadly cannot buy all the new releases at once (only very, very favorite Series), I have not caught up on them yet, but will try to buy the next books as soon as I can!

  1. Ace of Shades (Amanda Foody) ✅ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  2. King of Fools (Amanda Foody) ❌

  1. Geekerella (Ashley Poston) ✅ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  2. The Princess and the Fangirl (Ashley Poston) ❌

Let's Talk (2)

Don’t own the book yet 😭

➡ I’m lucky enough to often get my books from the library, but if I end up liking the first one in a Series, they don’t always have the next ones! Sadly, some will probably never show up at my local library and I’d have to buy them on my own, which creates a struggle because I also want to catch up on other Series and buy new books! But it also happens with Series that I partly own, just not completely!

  1. Anna Dressed in Blood (Kendare Blake) ✅ ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  2. Girl of Nightmares (Kendare Blake) ❌

  1. The Reader (Traci Chee) ✅ ⭐⭐⭐⭐

High Expectations

➡ Here we have the sequels to books that I have high expectations for, because I like the previous books so much. I have the bad habit of procrastinating reading books I think I’ll enjoy due to fearing that I have hyped them up too much for myself. This is especially bad if they have mixed Reviews. The fear of disappointment is real.

  2. Vengeful (V.E. Schwab) ❌

  1. Passenger (Alexandra Bracken) ✅ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

How many Unread Series do you have? Are you joining the Series Crackdown? What are your top priority Series TBR? 🌼

  1. I also have way too many unfinished series 😅 Good luck with this readathon! I hope you enjoy everything you pick up! I haven’t read either of the books you’re planning to read for that but some of those other series you mention are familiar… Vengeful is SUCH a good sequel to Vicious, and I think the ending of the Heroes of Olympus series is so satisfying!

    1. Thank you! 😄 I actually didn’t end up reading anything from my TBR for this Readathon, but I will get there eventually 😅 Oh, I’m SO glad to hear that you loved Vengeful, that makes me feel a little better about reading it 💕 I really, really, really need to finish the Heroes of Olympus, I just have one book left 😱

  2. I have LOTS of unfinished series. And while I’m planning on taking part in the Series Crackdown readathon, I haven’t yet decided which one or ones to read!

Some that I need to get caught up on include 21 remembered series (most owned by me) and probably others (maybe even LOTS of others).

Ones that I own and haven’t ever read ANY include 3 series and possibly/probably others.

I’m caught up in and just waiting for the next book in at least 7 series.

I’m currently reading 3 1st books in series and potentially interested in reading more.

The series that are complete and owned by me that I’ve read ALL of number at least 11, plus numerous trilogies and series by Nora Roberts and Jayne Ann Krentz.

And lastly, the series that I haven’t yet read ANY books in that I want to read are too numerous to even try to number.

    1. So happy to hear that you plan to take part in the Readathon as well, good luck with your reading! 😄
Seems like you have a lot of Series to catch up on as well, I totally relate to that! I recently kept track of Series that I’m currently reading, because I couldn’t remember all of them 😄

  3. Ahh I’m the worst at keeping up with series, I have so many unfinished series just as well ahah. I also need to continue with the reader series, I loved that first book so much and can’t wait to see where it all goes next. I also want to get to the girl from everywhere’s sequel someday, but… like you, it’s not a priority, there are just so many books to read and soooo little time haha.
    Happy reading!! ❤

    1. I try my best to keep up with all the Series, but it’s just not possible to be on top of literally everything 😅 Ohh yes, I loved The Speaker it was a fantastic sequel and really blew me away! 😍 I actually liked it better than the first book, so I hope you enjoy it too 🙂 Yes, I want to read the Ship Beyond Time (I even own the book), but … just not right now xD
      Thank you!! 💕

  4. WOW CARO!! I think I may need to do a post like this!! To weed out series I really don’t want to read and crackdown on those I want to. ❤️ I hope you get to your 2 target books!! It’s hard to read after long days sometimes. Angelfall and Rebels of Gold are two series I need to finish too!! I keep forgetting about the Angelfall sequels…

    1. It was really helpful, I like looking at what Series I’m currently in the middle of so I don’t lose track of them all 😄 Thank you! 💗 I thought my library had the Angefall sequels, but turns out I was wrong 😦 I hope we can both finish the Series though! 🙂
