Sharing the Blogger Love πŸ’— Book Blogger Awards

Book Awards (1)

Hello fellow bookworms πŸ’—Β I’m late but IT’S HAPPENING πŸ˜„ I was very busy with my internship that just finished and then the last week of classes (I’m free now), so I didn’t have time (and the desired energy) to truly do this nomination post justice. Therefore, I’m cutting it close to the deadline (Saturday, July 20th!!!), but still here I am. I couldn’t pass up the chance to shoutout my favorite bookish people for this year’s Book Blogger Awards, because I think it’s so important to share the blogger love πŸ’• This year the award is being hosted by the lovely May @ foreverandeverly and I’m really grateful for that, because this is an opportunity to show our love for our fellow bloggers! You can also find more information about the riles, timeline and the full list of categories in the post I linked. There is also an anonymous Google Doc for nominations, thatΒ  I’m grateful for, because I know the anxiety of forgetting to nominate someone or not being entirely comfortable toΒ  do so in public.

Before weΒ  begin, I want to take this opportunity and ask you to leave any of your favorite blogs that you think deserve a little more love down below (that also includes your own blog, I’m happy to check it out!). I have a bit more time on my hands now and would love to give some book blogs a little love πŸ’— As fun and great as awards are, they always create a fair amount of anxiety for me too and can be disheartening if you’re not really nominated. It can quickly feel like no one really cares for your blog (I get that feeling too), but I hope you now that your voice matters and that there is somebody out there who gets excited about your posts and enjoys reading them.

Let's Talk (2)

Awards1

Best Pre-Teen/Teen Book Blogger (13-19)

JuliannaΒ πŸ’—Β paperblots ➑ What I distinctly remember about Julianna is how friendly and welcoming she was when I first commented on one of her post: she’s such a nice person and I always feel very welcome on her blog ❀ She’s got so many great things to say, with really well-structed Reviews and an overall nice, calm design, I’m always excited when another post of hers shows up on my feed! Julianna just really stands out to me, especially with her more fun posts, like the one about ‘covers that butter my eggroll’, that one was truly genius 😍

Best Adult Book Blogger (20+)

Sophie πŸ’—Β sophiexli ➑ I first discovered Sophie through her writing posts I think and I’m very happy to have meet another fellow bookish writer. I love all of her posts about writing/NaNoWriMo and how supportive she is in general. Sophie is also a very lovely human and I’m very grateful that she invited me to her NaNo cabin in April, even though I couldn’t participate as much. I always look forward to learning more about her WIP and her opinions on books of course πŸ’• Additional shoutout to her new cute design, the whale is adorable!Β

Mel πŸ’—Β cottoncandybookwitch ➑ I love the spectrum that Mel covers with her posts, she’s talking about writing (I especially enjoyed her documentation of doing the Artist’s Way, it inspired me to check it out in the first place), sometimes about her job as a librarian (which I always find so interesting to read about!) and also includes witchy posts ✨ I always enjoy reading her content and love that she’s got the courage to try out a lot of new things – I know nothing about witchcraft, but her witchy bookish posts are so creative and I love getting introduced to new things 😍

Awards5

New Adult/General Adult

Evelina πŸ’—Β avalinahsbooks ➑ I really love what a positive force Evelina is in the community, I fondly remember her boosting new bloggers in her posts or in a separate group and generally being such a lovely person. I always like to read her updates, be it on Twitter, Goodreads or on the blog. You can really feel her passion for books and her fellow book bloggers πŸ’• I also like discovering new books through her, as I rarely read adult books and therefore am in need of a bit of guidance and recommendations! Evelina’s book reviews are a great place to find more out of my comfort zone books to add to my TBR πŸ™‚

Awards2

Best Book Reviews

Beth πŸ’—Β readingeverynight ➑ I really love Beth, because she’s always such a great person to chat with in the comments. You can really tell that she puts a lot of effort into her very well thought out comments and it’s always a delight to see them show up on my posts ❀ I also love her books Reviews, which is why I wanted to nominate her in this category. Beth is writing great structured Reviews that I like checking out when I’m considering picking up a book, she’s very clear and thoughtful in her Reviews πŸ™‚

Acqua πŸ’—Β acquadimore ➑ I always think that Acqua has so many interesting things to say. I love her in-depth discussion posts that often bring up new and interesting points that I hadn’t considered before. However, I also love reading her Reviews, they are well-written and go into detail about the book, something that I find very helpful. I’m also impressed by how good Acqua is at catching up with her Reviews, as I often see her writing them quickly and I truly aspire to be more like that πŸ’•

Best Book Recommendations

Margaret πŸ’—Β weirdzeal ➑ I’m incredibly happy to have meet Margaret, because not only is she such a lovely person to talk to, she’s also a fellow writer and I think I found her blog during one of the previous NaNoWriMo’s! Not only do I love reading her writing updates, I also love to hear about what she currently likes to read as I often find her recommendations to make me want to add the book in question to my TBR πŸ’— Her love for books is contagious and I find myself always getting excited to comment on her posts!

Best Discussion Posts

Xandra πŸ’—Β starryskybooks ➑ I’m happy to have found Xandra’s blog because it really stands out to me by how creative the posts are. I especially love reading her discussion posts, because they offer me a fresh perspective and she also covers different themes in them. Lately I have really liked the discussion about what a potential Percy Jackson TV show should have, because we all know the books deserved a better adaption πŸ˜„ Apart from that I also love the 24 Hour Readathons that Xandra is doing herself, I hope to be able to participate in one of them in the future πŸ’•

Best Blog Aesthetic

Kat πŸ’—Β novelsandwaffles ➑ Of course I had to mention Kat, because she’s basically the queen of graphic design here and her blog aesthetic and graphics are absolutely STUNNING! I’m still in awe of her talent and I highly recommend you check out her new design shop if you want some lovely graphics for your own blog!! I’m also very grateful that Kat has hosted an event all about blog design in the past as I was able to learn so much from her πŸ’• This post Series truly nudged me towards trying out a new design for my blog & I’m very happy with that πŸ™‚

Best Blogging/Writing Voice

Cait πŸ’—Β paperfury ➑ Cait’s blog was one of the first that I discovered, when I started blogging again, so it will always have a special place in my heart! I really love her blogging voice, it’s so distinct and engaging that I always find myself drawn to her posts and excited when I see another one going up! I feel like Cait has truly found her unique style and I honestly cannot wait to finally read one of her books, because I cannot wait to get more of her writing style 😍

Awards4

Most Engaged in the Community

Marie πŸ’—Β drizzleandhurricanebooks ➑ I’m in constant awe of Marie, because she’s SO active in the community and basically excels in a lot of the categories here. She is writing excellent helpful discussion posts about all sorts of topics and her love for writing Reviews even when they are not the most popular posts has kept me enthusiastic about continuing to write my own Reviews! Not only that, but she is also incredibly friendly and welcoming to everyone and invests so much time into blog hopping and sharing the blogger love in general. I’m impressed by how she manages it all and you can truly see her love for the community shine through. I’m always very happy to read her posts and interact with her πŸ’—

Best Social Media Influencer

Dani πŸ’—Β perspectiveofawriter ➑ I really have to give Dani a shoutout here, because I love how she is managing her social media! She is often boosting posts on Twitter with her own heartfelt comment and that always makes me so happy to see πŸ’• I’m not much on Instagram, but she’s also very active there and I like how she uses social media to share some of the blogger love. Related to that I also like her weekly feature of highlighting posts she has enjoyed and including what she has read and been up to for that particular week! In general, Dani is such a nice person and I really like chatting with her πŸ™‚

Best Personality

Lily πŸ’—Β sprinklesofdreams ➑ I really really like Lily because she is such a genuinely friendly person that I like interacting with. I honestly cannot even express it, but she is such a lovely person and I’m so happy that she’s back with more posts now (and hopefully doing well with the summer internship), because I always look forward to checking them out πŸ’— In general, Lily is easy to approach and a person that you feel comfortable talking to, something that always makes me feel at ease. There is something very positive and calming about her that I appreciate πŸ™‚

Aurora πŸ’—Β auroralibrialis ➑ I must say that I always really love chatting with Aurora in the comments, because she is such a nice person and has so many fantastic posts coming up. I love how she talks about cool topics like what she likes and dislikes in character traits and how she themed her posts around Pride Month in June! Her posts are a delight to read and Aurora is very easy to talk to, her blog makes me feel welcome and excited to comment on her posts every single time ❀

Friendliest Member of the Community

Pauliina πŸ’—Β bookaholicdreamer ➑ Pauliina is a person whose posts I love reading ever since I discovered her blog! I love that she’s also participating in the Magical Readathon like me and cannot wait to see her Readathon TBR’s πŸ’• She’s a very nice person that I like talking to and always feel comfortable with. This is getting hard to express, because Pauliina is one of my favorite bookish blogs, but I appreciate her and her posts so much and cannot wait to read more of them in the future 😍

Sophie πŸ’—Β blameitonchocolate ➑ Sophie is a very warm and welcoming person whose comments always cheer me up! I also really love reading her posts and I’m so excited about her new monthly meme ‘Theme Thursday’, because I like the idea behind it so much and cannot wait to do more of the prompts. I think it’s a great way to interact with the community and I think that Sophie is such a great host! I’m always happy to see her show up in my comments, because they are always so genuine and friendly πŸ’•

Best at Promoting Diverse Books

Kate πŸ’—Β readingthroughinfinity ➑ Kate has been doing so many great collaboration posts lately that showcase what teens want to see when it comes to LGBTQ rep and what releases they are excited for, that I had to nominate her! I love that she is including so many people and has dedicated a post Series to talking about what LGBTQ releases readers are excited for πŸ’— I also love her Easter Readathon – that’s how I found her in the first place – it has become one of my favorite Readathon to do: I cannot wait till next year! πŸ™‚

Awards3

Best New Book Blogger (started blog after August 2018)

NoΓ©mie πŸ’—Β tempestofbooks ➑ NoΓ©mie has quickly become one of my favorite blogs to read and it all started out when I found her Bloodwitch Review I think, because I love the Witchlands and I was happy to have found someone how liked them too πŸ™‚ What really stands out to me about her is how calm and comfortable her blog always makes me feel. Her posts are so well-written and lovely that I enjoy reading them a lot and also love interacting with NoΓ©mie as well. I really appreciate the positive vibes that I’m getting from her and her blog ❀

Best Small Book Blogger (under 1,000 followers)

Taasia πŸ’—Β libraepaintspages ➑ I really think that Taasia deserves all the love, because she is putting out so much great content that I enjoy reading! Just recently she has boosted a lot of Teen Bloggers and I really like her dedication to making them feel seen in the community πŸ™‚ I also love reading her Wrapup posts, as they are generally my favorite type of post to read and Taasia makes them sound so interesting (same with her TBR’s) πŸ’• Definitely go check out her blog if you haven’t, she has got some really great posts!

Best Overall Book Blogger

Swetlana πŸ’—Β thecaffeinatedbookwormlife ➑ It’s no secret that I’m the #1 fan of Swetlana’s blog πŸ˜„ She was one of the first blogs I followed here and that I even lurked around as an email subscriber before I joined WordPress a little while later, so it feels like she has always been here! I love each and every of Swetlana’s posts, because she has such a compelling way to talk about books and I always want to hear what she has to say about all things in general πŸ’— Recently she has been sharing discussing what she’s currently reading in her Recently Read posts that I like to check out for shared love of books or new recommendations. She has also frequently been my Readathon buddy (as well as reading buddy) and I couldn’t be more grateful to be able to discuss books with her. It’s truly amazing to have a bookish friend to talk to ❀ To sum it up: I’m always here to support Swetlana’s blog and I hope that I can encourage you to check it out as well! πŸ™‚
