Hello fellow bookwormsĀ šĀ Itās time for theĀ Series CrackdownĀ again!Ā If you donāt know, theĀ Series Crackdown Readathon is hosted and created by the lovely MelĀ @Ā thebookmoo. The Readathon is 10 days long and all aboutĀ getting to that unfinished SeriesĀ that have been sitting on your shelf for ages! The current round (round 8!!) is running fromĀ August 2nd to August 11thĀ šĀ Like the last timeĀ there are going to be someĀ fun sprintsĀ hosted at theĀ Readathon TwitterĀ as well as some Instagram challenges. I personally love that all the Sprints are hosted at 8pm GMT (9pm where I live), because Iām an evening reader, so I will hopefully be joining sometimesĀ š
There are even some amazingĀ reading challenges with a cool bingo board!Ā šĀ AND there is a new point system to make the Readathon even more fun! I’m very excited to be participating again, because I’m finally free of obligations and haven’t had that the last few rounds. Therefore, this time I will hopefully be more active (and collect those points š)! I will be using some of the books that I will be reading for the month-long NEWT Readathon for the Series Crackdown, because I have a lot of books in a Series on that TBR, so it’s perfect š

What Iāll be readingĀ š
This time around I have so much more time to properly participate in the Series Crackdown! I think … last time I didn’t read any of the books on my TBR and nothing at all for the Readathon so that’s sad š¢Ā However, now I have 5 booksĀ on my TBR that I think I can get to, especially with the Dewey 24 Hour Readathon coming up right at the beginning of the Readathon šĀ All of them also fit the NEWT prompts (the NEWT Readathon is running for the entireity of August), so I’m maximizing my Readathon potentila here. I have to say that I really missed doing Readathons, as I didn’t do any in June and July due to being so busy, but now it’s the month of Readathons š
1. Fireblood (Elly Blake) š Sequel & Been on your TBR forever
2. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (C.S. Lewis) šĀ Film adaption & Includes a map
3. The Gilded Wolves (Roshani Chokshi) šĀ First book in a Series & Fantasy
4. Wires & Nerve Vol 1 (Marissa Meyer) šĀ Recommended by a friend
5. The Blood of Olympus (Rick Riordan) šĀ Last book in a Series
I actually managed to fill in all the reading prompts! You’re allowed to double up on the challenges, so that was really great. I’m positive that I can get to most of the books, as I plan to read at least two of them during the Dewey’s Readathon! There is only one thing to say: If I don’t finally read Fireblood, I’ll scream š I have had this book on about 4+ Readathon TBR’s but never read it, despite loving the first book, why am I like this? š± Same with The Blood of Olympus, it took me over 2 years to catch up on all the books now, despite loving Rick Riordan and I need to finally read the last book, it’s the only one I have left! I also really wanted to finally start reading The Gilded Wolves and Wires & Nerve, because I love everything the authors put out and it’ll happen now š The movie/tv adaption prompt was a lot harder to fulfill but I’m currently reading the Narnia books, so I choose The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (oh the Narnia movies, they are the best š)
Are you joining the Series Crackdown? What are your top priority Series TBR? š
All the best on the readathon! I hope you are able to read all the books and enjoy them as well!
I have heard so much about Gilded Wolves and I hope you love it š

Best of luck with the readathon!! I have always wanted to participate in a readathon– they look so fun but I never have the time or the books for the prompts!! But it is so exciting that you are participating!!
I really need to read The Gilded Wolves– I am really interesting in the premise and the characters so I really hope you enjoy!!
And yes the Narnia movies are the best!! š
A series that is high on my priority list to finish is The Young Elites series by Marie Lu!!
Happy reading!!! š

Thank you so much! š I love doing Readathons, but my favorite ones are usually month-longe Readathons, because they allow yourself to be more flexible and less under pressure š
I have been wanting to read The Gildes Wolves for sooo long now, I hope we both enjoy it a lot! The Narnia books have been decent so far, but the movies will always be the best š
Ohhh I LOVE that Series, I hope you end up liking it! Thank you, happy reading to you too š

oooh you are such a good readathon reader Caro!! ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø I never seem to have time on the appropriate days its actually a surprise how many books I get read in a month. hahaha I hope you finally get to Fire Blood! I find with books I wait a long time on that I either HATE THEM or LOVE THEM to bits. It’s really odd how that works out. Anyway happy reading and I hope you totally hit your target books.

Fantastic TBR post! I haven’t read any of the books on your tbr so I am excited to see what you think of them. I’m joining in for the first time this round (TBR will be up tomorrow!) and I’m excited. My TBR is pretty small because I don’t want to overdo it, having just finished Reading Rush but I also seem to have a few books not on my official TBR that I am eyeing off as well? (I’m a mess, it’s fine š)
