Hello fellow bookworms 🎄 I cannot believe that winter is already flying by, but I’m trying to muster up some Christmas cheer even while juggling with reading and writing for my Bachelor Thesis. So as it’s the festive season now, I couldn’t resist doing a fun seasonally appropriate Tag! There are a lot of great Christmas Book Tags out there, but the Jingle Bell Book Tag captured my interest the most with its questions, so that’s what I ended up doing 🥰 The Book Tag was originally created by Richard @ The Humpo Show! Without further ado, let’s go spread the Christmas cheer by answering some festive book-related questions 💗

“All I Want For Christmas Is You…” 🎄
What book do you want to see under the Christmas Tree?
The Toll (Neal Shusterman)
➽ I have the Series in Hardcover so that’s the format I want The Toll to be in as well … so it’s expensive and I haven’t gotten my copy yet 😭 I’d love for Santa to bring this book under the Christmas Tree, but I fear it won’t happen as I’ve already made my book wishlist and won’t be getting any more books. I’m still hoping to get to this book next year (hopefully with some of my Christmas money), as it was on my most anticipated releases list for the last half of 2019 and I need to find out how this really thrilling series ends! I’m a bit nervous because I heard several people not being happy with how many new characters were introduced and I really love our original characters, so we’ll see how it goes!
“Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time…” 🎄 What book that you have read this year have you enjoyed the most?
Bloodwitch (Susan Dennard)
➽ I’ve read a lot of great books this year, but of course, I cannot go without talking about Bloodwitch because after a two-year-long wait it was exactly what I was hoping for! Aeduan is my favorite Witchlands character (and one of my faves in general), so seeing him have his own book made me so happy 🥰 I also love how the book even further deepened the worldbuilding and stakes, it perfectly managed to weave together so many different plot threads and finally reveal several answers I had been looking for! I love it when a book completely engages me and makes me want to come up with all the theories, so Bloodwitch totally delivered on that front! I’m very happy about that because I had been hyping up this release so much beforehand 😄
Elf 🎄 What book unleashes your inner child?
Harry Potter (J.K. Rowling)
➽ I just had to choose Harry Potter for this one, as it does unleash the inner child for a lot of us, me included. I actually put down Harry Potter the first time I started it because it didn’t click with me, but I ended up reading all the books when I was a bit older, so it has always been a big part of my childhood 💕 Last year I even started a reread of the books in English as I obviously read them in my native language first. The act of rereading Harry Potter has been a great delight, as it’s so wonderful to return to the wizarding world and dream of magic – that truly makes me feel a bit younger every time 😊
“It’s Beginning to look a lot like Christmas…” 🎄
Which book has the most festive look to it?
The Grinch 🎄 Your favorite villain
Victor Vale (Vicious)
➽ VICTOR, my love!! Just imagine him as the Grinch 😂 Now there are a lot of villainous characters in Vicious (and the following books, the Series is literally called Villains) so he’s a more ambiguous antagonist, but he’s one murderous person 😈 He’s one of my favorite villains (along with the Darkling, but Victor could totally take him on) and characters in general. I love Victor Vale so much, despite all of his screwed up morals and bad decisions. He’s definitely not warm and cuddly, but he has a hidden soft spot for those in his found family, that he tries to pretend doesn’t exist. (But we all know that he’d protect Mitch and Sydney).
The Holiday 🎄 Name your favourite TWO couples…
Isobel & Rook (An Enchantment of Ravens)
Baz & Simon (Carry On)
➽ That was seriously so hard, as I don’t have two set favorite couples – I have a long list of them instead – so I choose two that came to mind when I first read the question. Now Isobel and Rook have a special place in my heart, as I loved An Enchantment of Ravens so much and was on board with the romance from the right beginning. Rook is such a disaster sometimes and their banter was glorious + forbidden love is always great 🥰 Then, I, of course, had to mention Baz and Simon, who I fell in love with during Fangirl but began to love even more in their own book Carry On. They are one of my favorite enemies to lovers ships with great chemistry and banter 💗
Recommendation 🎄 What book would you like to give as a present to your followers?
Truthwitch (Susan Dennard)
➽ I love this question so much … but is anyone even surprised about my answer? 😂 I’ve been gushing about several underrated series, but the Witchlands is still on top of my list, as it’s getting love but not as much as other major fantasy series. I’m a big fan of the world and characters Susan Dennard has created, as you might know from previous gushing on my blog 🥰 Therefore, I would totally recommend this book to everyone who reads my blog posts, as the series is amazing and offers so many great things: strong female friendships, angsty relationships, cool and complex magic, an amazing adventure story and the potential to suck you into all the theories about how things are going to play out. Once you get into the story, it’s so much fun and I got so easily attached to the characters, that totally stole my heart 💗
