Hello fellow bookworms β It’s time for my favorite time of the year: the start of winter and the festive season!! I did a Bucket List for Autumn earlier this year and as I had so much fun with it, I decided to do one of Winter as well π₯° I love making the most of the colder months, as they are my favorite parts of the year! This list is a mix of wintery but also mostly Christmas things, as this is what I personally celebrate π I would also love to hear if you have an cozy/wintery plans for the end of the year π I’m having a tough time to get into the festive mood this year, so I’m trying to feel more christmassy by writing this post π
Mentally I’m here π₯Ί
Read festive/wintery books β
- Participate in a Christmas Readathon (Reindeer Readathon) π¦
- Read in Starbucks with a festive drink π
β½ My Reindeer Readathon TBR has got many of the books I’m planning on reading π₯°Β However, I already have found even more books that I want to read this December! I always reread a lot of favorite festive books (including Let it Snow, My True Love Gave to Me, A Christmas Carol, Snow in Love …) as I love to do seasonal reading, especially around Christmastime β€ However, I also have some new wintery/festive books on my TBR, if you want to know more just check out my Readathon TBR or take a peek at my Goodreads ‘seasonal-winter’ shelf! I’m already having a great time taking part in the Reindeer Readathon, I love that it’s month-long and I find that only focusing on one Readathon is much better for me π Another small tradition I have is drinking a Gingerbread Latte in Starbucks and reading a festive book β I like having a change of scenery for my reading and by the time this post goes up, I should have already done that!

(Re)Watch Christmas Movies π
- Arthur Christmas π
- Christmas Chronicles π
- A Christmas Carol π
- The Polar Express π
- Christmas Vacation π
- Christmas with the Kranks π
- Let It Snow or Christmas Inheritance π
- Home Alone 1 & 2 π
- Elf π
- The Claus Family or David & the Elves π
- Single All the Way π
- Princess Switch 3 π©
- Elves (Show) π§ββοΈ
β½ As you’ll see, I rewatch A LOT of Christmas movies every year! I’m not a movie person at all – and I’m not caught up with TV most of the time – except when it comes to Christmas movies π I have a lot of comfort rewatches every year and Netflix usually supplies a lot of entertaining, fun and somewhat cheesy holiday movies! There are a couple of new movies I try out every year, mostly what Netflix original movie is coming out that year. This time I have my eye on Single All the Way (A gay romance that has fake dating and ‘only one bed’!), The Claus Family/David & the Elves, Elves (a short Netflix show that seems both festive and creepy) and of course Princess Switch 3 (I had no idea there was another one, this is going to be wild) π

Indulge in yummy festive foods π
- Drink a Gingerbread Latte @ Starbucks β
- Drink some fruit punch & festive teas π΅
- Eat typical festive foods πͺ
β½ Once again I’m most interested in the typical foods of the season π€€ As a self-declared foodie, I love all the typical festive foods that the season brings! I already mentioned that I love getting the gingerbread Latte at Starbucks, as it’s so delicious! I also drink lots of wintery teas and fruit punch (the non-alcoholic one; usually I get it from the Grocery Store and it’s surprisingly tasty) π΅ And then there’s the food: my grandma bakes lots of delicious PlΓ€tzchen (there’s no English equivalent, but basically an assortment of different cookies) every year and since I’m living farther from home she sent some to me! I also love eating Gingerbread and Spekulatius (the English name might be speculoo?) πͺ

Do typical festive Activities π
- Decorate for Winter/Christmas π
- Visit the Christmas Market π
- Go for a walk in the snow β
- Light the Adventskranz & candles π―
- Go Gift Shopping π
- Write Christmas Cards & Pack up my gifts π
- Make a Gingerbread House πͺ
- Color in Festive/Winter Coloring Books π
- Listen to wintery/festive ASMR/atmosphere videos π»
β½ I love Winter/Christmastime and all the activities that come with it!Β I have so much fun creating a cozy atmosphere so decorating for the festive season is always a top priority. I got some new wintery/festive pillows and blankets that I love to snuggle up with.Β I also possess a staggering number of candles that I burn every evening and of course I also turn on the fairy lights all over my small flat. This alone just makes everything 100% more comfortable and calming π₯° I also have an AdventΒ wreath & calendar, a must-have for me! Generally, I also love to have some festive ASMR/atmosphere videos on in the background when I work or read something, it’s something nice to fill the silence π We already had some snow this year (!!!), so I could fulfill my Winter Wonderland dreams already, but as I love snow I’m hoping for some more πβ I was also fortunate enough to visit our Christmas Market twice with some friends! We went right when it opened, which was good, as it’s sadly already closed again. The cases are on the rise here, so the restrictions are understandably getting more severe. I’m just glad I got to go once and already have all my presents!

Do you enjoy Winter? What is on your Winter Bucket List? Any recommendations for festive/wintery TV series, books or yummy recipes? β
I really enjoy the winter season as well. I love baking this time of year and of course, eating all the yummy seasonal desserts. We don’t get snow where I live, but we are close enough to some mountains that when it does snow for them, it creates beautiful scenery. I also love wrapping gifts. I know not a lot of people do, but I personally love taking the time to wrap the gifts I’ve bought for my loved ones. Happy December!

Baking is the best, especially in winter!! Sad to hear that you don’t get much snow, but it sounds like you still get to see a nice scenery in the colder months π₯° I’m pretty bad at wrapping presents but there is something so personal about doing it! I hope you’re having a good December βοΈ

This is such a magical list and I love all the festive things you have planned. I would love to go into a coffee shop and read once… and doing it with a festive drink sounds perfect. β I hope you enjoy it!! Advent calendars are so fun, I love opening the doors on the countdown to Christmas. I wasn’t familiar with advent wreaths but just googled them and they look amazing. Yay for snow, hope you have some more. βοΈ I just need to wrap my gifts, I am looking forward to it. It feels quite satisfying haha π Hope you have a great December and enjoy all these moments π

Thank you so much, Sophie! β€οΈ I managed to go to Starbucks this year, try out their Gingerbread Latte and read my festive book – it was so incredibly cozy! Advent calendars are truly so much fun! Advents wreaths are really nice, though I sadly didn’t have a traditional one this year. I was lucky enough to have some snowy days though βοΈ I hope you’re also having a great December! π₯°

This is such a fun list! We don’t have winter here, but we do have rainy season so it’s been dark and cool and gloomy… I don’t really have a specific bucket list except for going to starbucks a lot (love the seasonal drinks this time of the year!), getting enough sleep, and do some gift exchange with friends! π

I hate winter, Christmas is my silver lining of this season. π I love putting up fairy lights and other decorations to my bookshelves, and I already done that. Apart from these, I got into baking muffins. π I baked a banana-chocolate one yesterday and it is so yummy.
Your list is really fun, I hope you get to do all things planned! π₯Ί

I simply love this winter bucket list and the colder months are among my favorite as well! I love feeling warm and cozy,; it’s the perfect time to read for me.
One of my favorite holiday traditions is watching Hallmark Christmas movies with my dad and stepmom. Can’t wait to go up there later today!
