Hello fellow bookworms 📚 It was Saturday night and I spontaneously decided to participate in a February Readathon, because I do what I want and I was craving a challenge! At the time you’re reading this, I’m actually finished with my current semester of university so I have lots of time for reading and I want to read all the books!
Therefore, I decided to participate in the Series Crackdown, hosted and created by Mel @ thebookmoo! The Readathon is 10 days long and all about getting to that unfinished Series that have been sitting on your shelf for ages! The current round is running from February 9th to February 18th, so I’m pretty late with my post, but better late than never. There are going to be some fun sprints hosted at the Readathon Twitter as well as some Instagram challenges. I personally love that all the Sprints are hosted at 8pm GMT (9pm where I live), because I’m an evening reader and always have time, so I will hopefully be joining in with a lot of sprints 🙂
My Series Crackdown TBR
It has been six years since I started this Series. It’s finally time to reread the two (or three? see it has been so long I can’t really remember) books that I originally read and continue with the rest of the Series. The Shadow Falls Series used to be my fave all those years ago and I was so obsessed with the characters, it’s a shame I only now get around to finally finishing it. There’s even a completed spin-off now, that’s how long I waited! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I still like the books as much as I used to, because everything else would be pretty sad. With that being sad, these 5 books will be my focus for the Readathon and I’m determined to finish them!
Alternative Options
I don’t think I will get to them, but you never know. Maybe I’m just an overachiever who cannot get enough (I mean 10 days and 5 books means a book every second day and here I am making more plans), but I need to motivate myself to read those two books (especially Shadow and Bone, you have permission to scream at me to finally read it). I likely won’t get to them during the Readathon, but there is always time afterwards!
Are you participating in the Readathon? Which Series do you definitely need to get to? 📚
I’m so glad you’re doing Series Crackdown! Shadow and Bone is on my list to complete as well, so don’t worry you’re not the only one! Though I have read the first book of the series. Can’t wait to see how you find the sprints and the readathon!

It was kind of a spontaneous decision, but so worth it, because I’m so excited 🙂 I’m glad to hear that I’m not the only one who hasn’t read the Grisha Trilogy yet 🙂 I’m sure it’s going to be lots of fun 😀

It definitely will be! The last one was great fun, especially the sprints! I feel so behind in the book community, I have so many hyped books on my shelves and just haven’t gotten to them yet!

I feel you, I had a few years where I didn’t read much and now I’m sooo behind on everything. But we’ll get to all the books for sure 😀

that’s what happened to me as well, trying to make up for it now! Hopefully, I’m looking forward to being able to look at my shelves and know I’ve read most of the books on there!

I’m sure we can both get this far 🙂 In the last two years I have read many books that have been on my TBR for a long time 🙂

I’ve been slowly getting there, not as quickly as I would like but it’s still an improvement!

I tried to participate in two readathons and failed miserably…now I don’t think I’ll ever try again..D

Maybe Readathons aren’t for you, not every reader liked to do them, so that’s totally fine 🙂

I’ve never heard of the Shadow Falls series! Curious what you’ll think of it, perhaps it will go up on my own TBR haha (RIP me). I haven’t read the Grisha trilogy yet either, but I don’t like saying it out loud because I know people will judge me!

I feel like it’s not talked about as much as other Series 😮 I loved the first two books when I read them a few years ago & really enjoyed my reread 🙂 I feel like more people have read Six of Grows than the Trilogy to be honest 😀

Good luck with the readathon!! As for the Shadow Fall series, I’m not familiar with it. But I very much recommend Shadow and Bone and will scream at you until you read it 😂

Thank you! 🙂 It’s not really a hyped Series, but I really liked it a few years back 🙂 I’ll get onto Shadow and Bone soon, but you have all the permission to scream at me should I procrastinate reading the book again 😀

If you enjoy audiobooks, they have Six Of Crows (in German) up on Spotify right now!

Thanks for mentioning it, that’s really coo! 🙂 I didn’t know that Spotify had audiobooks, because I rarely use it, but now I’m intrigued 😀
